Eamonios EmporiumCoin op homeboy! September 03 Thems the breaks ... bad news beat junkiesHello citizen of the blog-o-sphere ...
Its all gone to hell in a handcart, and a new era is about to dawn I reckon.
So first off I finally got my knee operation done at last - 3 weeks in the reclining position for me, it was a bit nasty in parts but I am very excited about getting full mobility back. The op was done at Haslar hospital in Gosport - an army hospital which was clean and efficient unlike most of the hospitals you hear about. They tried to take a tendon from my ham string but it snapped and they had to change the plan in the operation, they switched to a section taken off my patella so my right leg was a state both front and back! Anyway the following two weeks were a blaze of heavy seditives and synthetic morphine ... drool ... made me uh? What's it? You know ... er ... forgettful.
Now its a hellish few months of physio and a mad scramble to catch up at work. *gulp*
Bad news on the music front unfortunately as Suga Suga has been sold to a new owner and coin op is once again out for the count :( I think I gotta find somewhere more downmarket (ie a venue that serves pints!) and find a new 'vibe' to relight the fire as it were. I guess this really is game over for the opage.
Music and games have been the flavour of the month and I am digging Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney on the DS as well as Prey and Oblivion on the 360 - I tried out Forbidden Siren on PS2 but the controls were unforgivable and I couldnt be bothered anymore. Music wise I got the new SOnic youth LP 'Rather Ripped' which ok but a bit lightwieght for the yoof. Lambchop 'Damage' which is mellow gold and TV on the Radio which is really interesting stuff akin to funkadelic and my bloody valentine spliced together - tis odd but really good.
So Ill sign off with some gratuitous knee pics ew!
